VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for volleyball this year is to hit my 2000 assists in our preseason tournament and push to hit 3000 by the end of the year.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year is going on a huge family vacation to Mexico with 20+ family members.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher would have to be my freshman year English teacher, Mr. Schneider who also happens to be our volleyball coach. He was my favorite because he came into class each day with a new dad joke, and he constantly made us laugh.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory was when we won volleyball substate at home, sending us to the state tournament for the 3rd year in a row.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that has left the biggest impact on me has been Abby Rose because transitioning to varsity as a sophomore, Abby made sure to take personal time throughout the summers to work on connections between us and skills to make sure I would be ready come season and benefit the team. She also took on a big leadership role which helped us to a 3rd place state finish.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on our team is that not only are we competitors and friends on the court but we have just as strong of a bond off the court. I think our team chemistry stems from the fact that we constantly hangout with each other outside of practices and plan bonding events like going out to eat as a team or hosting team bbq and sleepovers. I also really love how each year we go all out and decorate our locker room to make it feel more personal.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could choose any place for a summer vacation I would choose to go to Greece because it’s so pretty and I have always wanted to experience the scenery. I would try and take as many of my friends as possible to make the experience more enjoyable.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would probably spend the $500 dollars on going out to eat with all my friends or doing something fun with them.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
Within our school, I participate in NHS and Kay Club and both do a lot of community service projects including the Salemsborg Church Haunted Trail cleanup, making toys for dogs at local shelters, putting on a Trunk of Treat for the kids in our town, and many more.
