VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
I want to run under 18 in cross country, have straight A’s, and run under 4:50 in track in the mile.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
I went on 2-week trip to Sweden with a group over the last summer. It was our Lindborg Swedish Folk dancer group.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teach was from this, Mr. Meier. He is the government teacher at our school. Which is a required class for seniors. He keeps me motivated and trying my best in his class.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory was going to state last year for cross country. It was just the aesthetic of Rim Rock and it was the first year I really contributed by scoring points for the team.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that’s left the biggest impact on me is Tytus Reed. He is now running at Kansas Wesleyan University. I just feel like he had a lot of the problems with as me. He also was really encouraging and pushed me tho right his time in high school.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part is the team environment. We are just always together after school at practice. We all bind really well and get along. I also have a lot friends in my team, so I am with them during practice.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would go on a tour of all of Europe. It wouldn’t be too many specific locations, but just exploring and seeing the cultural difference between the U.S. I would take my friend Ki Blanchat with me. He went on the trip to Sweden with me, and I think it would be a really fun experience.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would probably buy a ticket for a cruise. I went on one two summers ago and it was a lot of fun. So it would be cool to do something like that again.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I do Lindsborg Swedish Folk dancers. I have done community service of cleaning yards for the elderly through our church. I have participated in a canned food drive in Salina.
