Senior from Smoky Valley Sebastian Pavlovich was up for the challenge this off-season to prepare for the fall cross-country season. “Something I worked on in the off-season was getting back into running after a knee injury. I worked every day to strengthen both knees and race fast this year.” Pavlovich also ran with the Salina Burn Track Club to help him prepare for this season.
When asked what are some things Pavlovich is most looking forward to, his first answer involved his teammates. “I am looking forward to hanging out with the amazing team I am blessed to be a part of. I am looking forward to seeing my friends from other schools at various meet.”
One of Pavlovich’s favorite courses is Southeast of Saline because it feels super fast, he told VYPE. In addition to running fast, Pavlovich hopes to stay healthy. Last year, an accolade achieved by Pavlovich was running at state for Smoky Valley as the 6th runner.
Besides cross country, Pavlovich stays plenty busy in all areas of life. Pavlovich works at a Rest Home. He attends Elim Lutheran Church’s youth group. At school, he is involved in FCA, Kay’s Club, a bible study group, and drama club. After graduation, Pavlovich plans to attend college to become a nurse. His ultimate career goal is to be a nurse for the elderly. He also added how important his faith is to him and how he wants to continue growing in his faith as well as sharing the good news with others. Pavlovich finished by telling VYPE about his friends and how he values them all greatly.
