VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
A big personal goal of mine for this year is to pass my EMT course and begin working over the summer. This will help me get my foot in the door as I want to be a medical professional as a career.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Playing Mulvane in the playoffs was by far the most fun I’ve had in the last year. Playing in the cold rain with the boys was a surreal experience, and I wish I could live it again.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher has to be Mr. Ellet. He teaches all different levels of math, and he has to be one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. He could teach a rock how to do AP calculus! Not only is he a great teacher, but he’s also one of the nicest people you’ve ever met.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Scoring a 50+ yard touchdown for the first points against our rivalry team Buhler this year. Hearing the crowd roar and the student section chanting my name was indescribable.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Tucker Pelnar has had the biggest impact on me, for sure. Tucker had to have surgery on the same shoulder twice both for the same injury, yet he still came back out for his senior year. In the middle of the year, he dislocated his other shoulder! He sat out a few games, then postponed surgery just so he could finish out the season because he knew we needed him.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
Waking up early in the morning and working out hard with my brothers.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would go to Hawaii, and I would probably take Cooper Bruce and Josh Bocox.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would fill up all of my family’s car with gas first; then, once that is done, I would spend the remainder on workout supplements and equipment so that I would be stocked up for a few months!
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I go Christmas caroling over the holidays to different businesses with my choir to spread Christmas cheer.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am not currently involved in any clubs. I am mainly focusing on academics at this time.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
I am in the process of applying for the National Honor Society as I meet the qualifications!
