He might have gone to a “7-on-7 football camp at Kansas University,” but now he is headed for the University of Nebraska. Pelnar is planning on finishing out his high school career with “a 4.0 and competing in every sport” to the best of his ability. His team’s recent win of the 2022 “4A State Baseball Championship” has placed him well on his way to reaching his goals.
Pelnar told VYPE that his favorite part of being on this team is “knowing that my teammates have my back and I have theirs. To me, that is one of the best feelings anyone can ever have.”
Notable in his experience with the team is the teammate who has left the largest impression on him – “Mason Thrash.” Who taught Pelnar “very specific leadership qualities. I looked up to him as a freshman because he was a great leader, vocally and by example. Without his impact, I would not be the person I am today.”
Skills he puts to use in his extracurricular activities, which include kay club and the national honors society. Although in the end, Pelnar is just happy to have gotten “to compete with my teammates and have had a blast doing it.”
