From spending time with friends to competing alongside teammates, be it football or baseball practice, Jaret Myers has a “blast.” Although it is a baseball memory that ranks as number one in Jaret’s mind. Particularly “winning the 4a baseball state championship junior year.”
This may have impacted his future goals which are to “be an all-state pitcher this baseball season and to win another state championship.” Although these goals promise to be worth the effort it will take to get there, a truly difficult milestone has already come to pass as Myers completed his final season of high school football this past fall.
During his closing football season, Myers named “Samuel Becker” as the teammate who made the biggest impression on him. Telling us that “He is one of the hardest working, most dedicated people I have ever met. He is a leader and was one of the captains of our football team last fall. He is also a hard worker in the classroom and sets a great example of what a student-athlete should look like.”
As far as his favorite thing about his football team – “the teammates.” “The guys I have played with have become some of my best friends, and playing with them is a blast. I am really going to miss competing with them every Friday night.”
