VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals are to place at state tennis this year, get a 1 rating at Central States Marching Festival, and do well on all of my AP exams.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year is going to band camp with some of my best friends and helping the younger kids out in our summer tennis program.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Henry Weiner from my sophomore year algebra class. He was also one of my tennis coaches in middle school. I’ve looked up to him for years because he is a shining example of positivity and is always there to help me if I need it.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memories are attending state tennis my junior and senior years.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Patty Huerta. She is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and makes an effort to contact people outside of practice to get some extra hitting time in.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part of being on this team is that we’re not just teammates; we almost like one big family. Most of us are friends outside of tennis which makes being on a team together that much more fun.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could pick any place for a summer vacation, I would take a trip around Europe. I would bring my mom because she loves exploring new places as well as some close friends that I can have fun with.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would spend the $500 on one gift for my parents and one for my grandparents. They’ve all given me so much and I want to be able to give them something back.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I’ve participated in many community service projects including summer tennis, high school concessions, and city cleanup. I plan to continue these projects as well as find some new ones to participate in.
